About

Jianing Zheng (she/her), PhD researcher in Media and Arts Technology, Centre for Digital Music, at Queen Mary University of London.

 

Jianing's research focussed on the materiality and tangibility of digital musical instrument design, including tangible interaction, mappings, and novel materials in digital musical instrument design.

 

Jianing has an interdisciplinary background. Jianing has a MArch in Urban Design from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. Prior to that, Jianing completed her bachelor’s degree in BEng from the School of Architecture, Harbin Institute of Technology. Jianing a well-trained designer from the academy with practical experiences in the industrial. She has a broad spectrum of project experience in the past, including interior design, architectural design, product design, public art design, and interaction design.
